HIGH PRESSURE FROM THE GREAT LAKES TO THE MIDSOUTH WILL CONTINUE TO
DOMINATE MIDSOUTH WEATHER TODAY AS THE HIGH MOVES EASTWARD. BEAUTIFUL
SPRING WEATHER WILL OCCUR ACROSS THE MIDSOUTH TODAY WITH FULL
SUNSHINE...MILD AFTERNOON TEMPERATURES...LIGHT WIND...AND LOW
AFTERNOON HUMIDITY.

A COLD FRONT WILL APPROACH THE AREA FROM THE WEST THURSDAY AFTERNOON
AND MOVE THROUGH THE REGION THURSDAY NIGHT. SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS WILL SPREAD ACROSS THE REGION FROM THE WEST IN ADVANCE
OF THIS SYSTEM. A FEW THUNDERSTORMS MAY BE SEVERE ESPECIALLY WEST OF
THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER.

DRY WEATHER WILL RETURN FRIDAY AS HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS OVER THE
REGION. TEMPERATURES WILL CONTINUE MILD.

THE WARMEST AIR THUS FAR THIS YEAR IS FORECAST TO SPREAD ACROSS
THE MIDSOUTH THIS WEEKEND WITH HIGHS MOSTLY IN THE 80S. SATURDAY WILL
BE RAIN FREE AS STRONG HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS OVER THE REGION. A CHANCE
OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL SPREAD INTO THE MIDSOUTH SUNDAY AS
LOW PRESSURE STRENGTHENS AND MOVES INTO THE CENTRAL PLAINS. STORMY
WEATHER IS FORECAST FOR SUNDAY NIGHT AND MONDAY AS THE LOW PRESSURE
SYSTEM AND ASSOCIATED COLD FRONT MOVE EASTWARD.
