...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN BEAUREGARD...VERNON
PARISHES IN WEST CENTRAL LOUISIANA AND EAST CENTRAL NEWTON COUNTIES
THROUGH 615 PM CDT...

At 543 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Anacoco to 7 miles southeast of Burr Ferry
to near Bon Weir. Movement was east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to vegetation and outdoor
         objects is possible.

Locations impacted include...
De Ridder, Leesville, Newton, Rosepine, Anacoco, Fort Johnson,
Pitkin, Sugartown, Slagle, New Llano, Lacamp, Fullerton, Tulla,
Leander, Junction, Cravens, Simpson, Pickering, and Bundick Lake.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 700 PM CDT for central,
southwestern and west central Louisiana...and southeastern Texas.
