...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN VERNON PARISH...
NORTHERN NEWTON AND NORTHEASTERN JASPER COUNTIES THROUGH 1230 PM
CDT...

At 1148 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Pineland, or 13 miles northeast of Ebenezer, moving east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to vegetation and outdoor
         objects is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Newton, Toledo Bend Dam, Burkeville, Hornbeck, Browndell, Jamestown,
Farrsville, Harrisburg, Mayflower, Sam Rayburn Dam, and Wiergate.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
