The National Weather Service in El Paso has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
  South central Hudspeth County in southwestern Texas...

* Until 745 PM MDT

* At 448 PM MDT, Your National Weather Service Doppler radar
  estimated up to one inch of heavy rainfall in the last hour...
  from thunderstorms just west of Quitman Canyon. This will cause
  minor flooding across low spots along Quitman Canyon road...and
  along Highway 194 near and downstream of Quitman Canyon road.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Little Box...
  and Quitman Canyon.

Additional rainfall of 1 inch is expected over the area. This
additional rain will result in minor flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.

Remain alert for flooding even in locations not receiving rain.
Arroyos, streams, and rivers can become raging killer currents in a
matter of minutes, even from distant rainfall.
