The National Weather Service in El Paso has issued a

* Arroyo and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
  Northeastern Luna County in southwestern New Mexico...

* Until 1030 AM MST

* At 632 AM MST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
  thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and small stream flooding in
  the advisory area. Up to two and half inches of rain have already
  fallen. Flooding could impact State Highway 26, portions of
  Interstate 10 and parts of US 180 near Deming.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Deming...
  Nutt...
  Akela...
  Uvas Valley...
  Macho Springs Wind Farm...
  Rock Hound State Park...
  and Cookes Peak.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of arroyos
nd  small creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low
lying spots.  Water may inundate portions of highways and roads in
the affected area.
