The National Weather Service in League City has issued a

* Flood Advisory for Minor Flooding in Poor Drainage Areas for...
  Harris County in southeastern Texas...
  Southwestern Liberty County in southeastern Texas...
  Northwestern Chambers County in southeastern Texas...
  Northeastern Fort Bend County in southeastern Texas...

* Until 145 AM CST.

* At 1140 PM CST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
  thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding. Overflowing poor
  drainage areas will result in minor flooding in the advisory area.
  1 to 1.5 inches inches of rain have fallen on top heavy rains
  earlier this evening. This will likely runoff causing minor street

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Northwestern Pasadena, northeastern Sugar Land, northern Baytown,
  northern Missouri City, Deer Park, Stafford, Bellaire, West
  University Place, Galena Park, Jacinto City, southwestern Liberty,
  Dayton, Hunters Creek Village, Bunker Hill Village, Piney Point
  Village, Astrodome Area, Spring Valley, Barrett, Greater Fifth Ward
  and Spring Branch West.


Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
