Flood Advisory
National Weather Service Shreveport LA
240 AM CDT SAT JUN 24 2017

De Soto LA-Sabine LA-
240 AM CDT SAT JUN 24 2017

The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
Southeastern De Soto Parish in northwestern Louisiana...
Northern Sabine Parish in northwestern Louisiana...

* Until 445 AM CDT

* At 240 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms over extreme Southern DeSoto Parish and Northern
Sabine Parish. This will cause urban and small stream flooding in
the advisory area. Rainfall amounts of two to three inches have
  already fallen across these areas.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Many, Zwolle, Converse, Oak Grove, Pleasant Hill, Noble, Pelican,
Toledo Bend Reservoir North and Belmont.

Additional rainfall of once to two inches is expected over the area
during the next couple of hours. This additional rain will result in
minor flooding of low lying...poor drainage areas.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
