Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Extreme Southeast Arkansas,
Northeast Louisiana, and Central Mississippi
National Weather Service Jackson MS
251 AM CDT Fri May 26 2017

.DISCUSSION...Moisture will increase across the region today and through the weekend
as rain chances also increase toward the latter half of the weekend. Southerly winds
will be gusty today with sustained winds around 20-25mph and gusts to near 30mph.
Temperatures will be on the warm side with highs expected in the upper 80s or around
90 degrees. However, fire danger is expected to be on the low side given this
increase in moisture. RH values this afternoon will be lowest in the east, with
readings expected around 38-42 percent. Further west, min RH values will be in
the upper 40s or lower 50s. No significant fog formation is expected this
morning but some fog will be possible over the weekend.
