WEATHER SUMMARY FOR UPPER MISSISSIPPI RIVER VALLEY
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LA CROSSE WI
339 AM CDT MON JUL 14 2014

PARTLY CLOUDY SKIES ENCOMPASSED MUCH OF THE UPPER MISSISSIPPI
RIVER VALLEY REGION...AHEAD OF A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM DROPPING
SOUTH INTO NORTHERN MINNESOTA. TEMPERATURES EARLY THIS MORNING
WERE MAINLY IN THE 50S.

PLAN ON THE LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM TO MOVE THROUGH THE REGION
TODAY...USHERING IN AN UNSEASONABLY COLD AIRMASS FOR MID JULY.
TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED TO TOP OUT IN THE 60S TO LOW 70S THIS
MORNING...WARMEST IN FAR SOUTHWEST WISCONSIN...AND THEN BEGIN TO
FALL DURING THE AFTERNOON. PERIODS OF SHOWERS ARE EXPECTED AS
WELL...ESPECIALLY THIS AFTERNOON. LOOK FOR THE SHOWERS TO MOSTLY
DIMINISH THIS EVENING WITH CLOUDS SLOWLY DECREASING AFTER MIDNIGHT
AS THE SYSTEM BEGINS TO MOVE AWAY. TEMPERATURES WILL FALL INTO THE
UPPER 40S TO LOW 50S TONIGHT.

LOOKING AHEAD TO TUESDAY...THE COOL WEATHER CONTINUES WITH HIGHS
ONLY TOPPING OUT IN THE MID 60S TO LOW 70S. THE COOL AIR COMBINED
WITH LINGERING MOISTURE COULD CAUSE A FEW SHOWERS TO DEVELOP
ACROSS WISCONSIN DURING THE LATE MORNING AND AFTERNOON HOURS.
