Clouds were found across northern parts of the region early this
morning, along with isolated light rain showers. It was clear to the
south. The mild temperatures have continued...with lows so far this
morning well above the normals highs this time of year. Lows so far
ranged from the mid 30s over northern Minnesota...to the lower 40s
over eastern Iowa.
Clouds and scattered showers will continues across northern portion
of Minnesota and Wisconsin today, with sunshine more prevalent in
the south. One more unseasonably mild day today, with record
temperatures likely at many locations. Highs today will range from
the upper 40s across northern Minnesota to the lower 70s in eastern
Iowa. Lows tonight will range mostly in the 30s.
A winter storm is still slated to march across the region Thursday
night through Friday night. Rain...snow and wind will accompany the
storm. Currently, the greater risk for the heaviest snows lie from
south central Minnesota into northwest Wisconsin.
