Regional Weather Summary for Western Kansas

Skies were mostly clear across western Kansas this morning. Winds
were out of the south at around 5-10 mph. Winds picked up as the
sun came up to 10-20 mph. Lows in Western Kansas were in the 30s,
with Dodge City hitting 40.

Southwestern Kansas is under an upper level ridge flowing in from
the three corners area of Wyoming, Colorado and Utah. Surface high
pressure and lack of moisture will keep the region dry this

Highs today will will be in the mid-70s for western Kansas under
clear skies. Winds will be from the south 5-15 mph. Lows tonight
will be in the upper 40s throughout western Kansas.
