...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT WEST CENTRAL OTERO COUNTY
THROUGH 215 PM MDT...

At 146 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 4
miles west of La Luz, moving west at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Alamogordo, Tularosa, White Sands National Park, La Luz, Holloman Air
Force Base, and Alamorosa.

This includes the following highways...
 Highway 70 in New Mexico between mile markers 209 and 212.
 Highway 54 in New Mexico between mile markers 62 and 77.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
