...Gusty Winds to Push into South-Central New Mexico and Far West
Texas this Morning...

At 4:45 AM MDT, a back door cold front was pushing into South-
Central New Mexico. Northeast to east winds have been gusting up
to 45 mph in favored downslope areas west of the Sacramento and
Guadalupe Mountains, as well as portions of the Tularosa Basin.
Similar winds are likely occurring just west of the Hueco

Gusty winds begin to impact areas west of the Organ and Franklin
Mountains between 5 and 5:30 AM.

Wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph will be possible, including over
parts of West El Paso and the East Mesa area of Las Cruces.

Winds will begin to diminish after 10 AM, but gusts in the 25 to
35 mph range will continue through at least Midday in favored
west-facing slope locations.
