Special Weather Statement
National Weather Service Melbourne FL
530 AM EST MON JAN 22 2018

...Areas of Fog This morning...

Areas of fog will be present to impact this mornings commute. Fog
will occur mainly from near Sebastian up the coast to near Melbourne
and Daytona. Areas of fog will spread well-inland to near Deland...
Sanford...Orlando...Leesburg...and Kissimmee. It will also reach to
Lake Okeechobee near the town of Okeechobee. Visibilities will
be reduced to less than one mile...yet in spots the visibility may
drop to one-quarter mile and become locally dense. Motorists are
urged to drive with extra caution this morning. Allow plenty of time
to reach your destination and keep a safe space between you and the
vehicle in front of you. Use low bean headlights. Be on the lookout
for roadside crews...pedestrians...those riding bikes...and those
gathered at bus stops.

Travelers will be particularly affected on Interstate 95 between
Melbourne and Daytona, on the Florida Turnpike between Yeehaw
Junction and Kissimmee in Osceola County and up to Leesburg in Lake
County, as well as on Interstate 4 from Lakeland to Orlando and
Sanford to Daytona.

The fog is expected to lift by mid-morning.
