...A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for tonight into
Saturday morning for Ellis county...

This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...south
central...southwest and west central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Day 1 Discussion

Aarea of dense freezing fog are expected to persist into
mid-morning for much of southwestern Kansas. Slick spots
on sidewalks and roads are expected. The fog is expected to
lift by late morning.

Light freezing drizzle is expected to develop late this evening
and then persist into Saturday morning. Roads may become slick
and hazardous across Ellis county. Temperatures may be warm enough
farther south so that any drizzle would not freeze upon impact.
But additional counties may need to be added to the advisory
farther south if it appears it will be colder. Farther northwest,
along a corridor from Syracuse to Scott City, the precipitation
may be in the form of light snow or flurries with only a dusting
at most accumulation.

Lingering freezing drizzle is expected Saturday morning, which
may lead to slick roads and sidewalks. Temperatures are expected
to warm to above freezing by late morning, which would melt any
