This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwest Colorado, southwest
Colorado, west central Colorado, east central Utah, northeast Utah
and southeast Utah.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Showers and thunderstorms will redevelop over the higher terrain this
afternoon, favoring the Divide and southern Colorado mountains. Some
storms will drift into the neighboring valleys. Gusty winds and
lightning will be the main concerns. Dry weather returns tonight.
Many smaller tributaries and main stem rivers will continue to run
high and cold with snowmelt.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

Isolated storms will continue Tuesday afternoon along the Divide.
Drier and much warmer conditions return by midweek with another
round of wet weather moving back in for Friday and Saturday. Dry
weather looks to return late in the weekend.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not expected at this time.

...The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a Flood
Advisory for the following rivers in Colorado...

  Eagle River near Gypsum affecting Eagle County.

.Warm temperatures will melt high mountain snowpack and increase
river flows. Diurnal forecast peaks are expected to exceed Action
Stage along the Eagle River each morning through Monday.

For the Eagle River...including Red Cliff, Resolution Creek at Camp
Hale near Red Cliff, Gypsum...elevated river levels are forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you encounter a flooded roadway, turn around and find an
alternative route.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.

...FLOOD ADVISORY FOR SNOWMELT IN EFFECT FROM THIS AFTERNOON TO
TOMORROW EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by snowmelt is expected.

* WHERE...Eagle River near Gypsum.

* WHEN...From this afternoon to tomorrow evening.

* IMPACTS...At 9.0 feet, Agricultural land along Eagle River between
  Eagle and Dotsero flooded. Some homes along the Eagle River in
  Gypsum begin to flood, especially those bordering the river along
  River View Road, Porphyry Road, Price Lane, Park View Lane, and
  Willowstone Place.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 2:15 PM MDT Sunday the stage was 7.9 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 7.5 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will oscillate below flood stage with a
    maximum value of 8.4 feet tomorrow morning.
  - Action stage is 8.0 feet.
  - Flood stage is 9.0 feet.

...The Flood Advisory is extended for the following rivers in
Colorado...

  Gore Creek near Minturn affecting Eagle County.

.Warm temperatures will continue to melt high mountain snowpack and
increase river flows. Diurnal forecast peaks are expected to exceed
bankfull along Gore Creek, within Vail down to the confluence with
the Eagle River, each morning through the weekend.

For the Gore Creek...including Vail...elevated river levels are
forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.

  in Vail.

  - At 12:15 PM MDT Sunday the stage was 9.4 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 9.8 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will oscillate near flood stage with a
    maximum value of 10.3 feet just after midnight tonight.
  - Action stage is 9.8 feet.
  - Flood stage is 10.3 feet.
