This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwest Colorado, southwest
Colorado, west central Colorado, east central Utah, northeast Utah
and southeast Utah.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Thunderstorm development will be possible this afternoon as moisture
makes a return to the area. Gusty outflow winds will be the main
threat but a few storms over northern Colorado and Utah my also
contain brief to heavy rainfall rates. The warm temperatures will
continue to accelerate snowmelt and rivers will be running cold and
swift...with some minor flooding already being reported in some
waterways.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Thunderstorm development will continue be possible each day but the
probability for widespread hazardous weather is low.

Spotter activation is not expected at this time.

...The Flood Advisory continues for the following rivers in
Colorado...

  Gore Creek near Minturn affecting Eagle County.

.Warm temperatures will melt high mountain snowpack and increase
river flows. Diurnal forecast peaks are expected to exceed Action
Stage along Gore Creek, within Vail down to the confluence with the
Eagle River, each morning through the weekend.

For the Gore Creek...including Vail...elevated river levels are
forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by snowmelt continues.

* WHERE...Gore Creek in Vail to the confluence with the Eagle River
  near Minturn.

* WHEN...Until late Monday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 10.0 feet, Some flooding is likely at the golf course
  in Vail.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 12:15 PM MDT Friday the stage was 9.3 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 9.8 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will oscillate below flood stage with a
    maximum value of 10.2 feet just after midnight tonight.
  - Action stage is 9.8 feet.
  - Flood stage is 10.3 feet.

Colorado...

  Eagle River near Gypsum affecting Eagle County.

.Warm temperatures will melt high mountain snowpack and increase
river flows. Diurnal forecast peaks are expected to exceed Action
Stage along the Eagle River each morning through the weekend.

For the Eagle River...including Red Cliff, Resolution Creek at Camp
Hale near Red Cliff, Gypsum...elevated river levels are forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

If you encounter a flooded roadway, turn around and find an
alternative route.

AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by snowmelt continues.

* WHERE...Eagle River near Gypsum.

* WHEN...Until early Sunday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...
  At 7.5 feet: Low-lying agricultural land flooded between Eagle and
  Dotsero.  The yards of residences adjacent to the Eagle River in
  Gypsum along River View Road, Porphyry Road, Park View Lane, Price
  Lane, WillowStone Place, and Price Place begin to flood.

At 9.0 feet: Agricultural land along Eagle River between Eagle and
Dotsero flooded. Some homes along the Eagle River in Gypsum begin to
flood, especially those bordering the river along River View Road,
Porphyry Road, Price Lane, Park View Lane, and Willowstone Place.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 12:15 PM MDT Friday the stage was 7.8 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 7.5 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will oscillate below flood stage with a
    maximum value of 8.4 feet tomorrow morning.
  - Action stage is 8.0 feet.
  - Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
