This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Isolated showers and thunderstorms will be possible this
afternoon and through the early evening, mainly over the
mountains, with only a slight chance of moving over into the
adjacent valleys and plains. With any storms there could be some
gusty outflow winds to 50 mph, cloud to ground lightning, and
small hail.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday

Isolated showers and thunderstorms will be possible across the
mountains and northern portions of the southeast plains Thursday.
The main risk from thunderstorms will be gusty outflow winds to
around 60 mph and lightning.

Showers and thunderstorms will become stronger and more widespread
on Friday as a disturbance moves across the state. Gusty outflow
winds in excess of 60 mph, lightning, and brief moderate to heavy
rainfall will be the primary risks. However there will be the
chance for some small hail across the mountains on Friday, with hail
to around 1 inch possible across the far southeast plains.

Warmer, drier and windier weather returns for Sunday into early next
week, which will lead to increasing fire danger across the region,
especially if vegetation dries out sufficiently. Snow melt will
remain elevated across the high country which will keep streams and
creeks running high through the peak spring runoff.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Weather spotters will not be needed today or tonight.
