Adams, Broomfield, Boulder, Larimer, and Weld Counties

WHEN...400 PM Monday June 10 to 400 PM Tuesday June 11

IMPACTS...Ozone Action Day Alert is now in effect for the Front

powered vehicles is now in effect until at least 4 p.m. Tuesday,
June 11, 2024. Although ozone concentrations will remain in the
Good to Moderate range on Monday, increasingly warm and sunny
conditions with building pollution levels will result in ozone
concentrations possibly reaching the Unhealthy for Sensitive
Groups category Tuesday afternoon and evening, particularly from
the western suburbs of Denver northward to Boulder. For areas
included in this advisory that are not expected to reach the
Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups (USG) air quality designation, we
request that activities, such as driving non-ZEV vehicles (i.e.,

air quality. Additional air pollution in this region may directly
worsen air quality or contribute to precursors which may also
adversely affect air quality. For Colorado air quality

Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Scattered thunderstorms are expected in the afternoon to early
evening time frame. They will first develop over the higher
elevations by early afternoon, then move eastward onto the
adjacent plains this afternoon and onto the east plains through
the early evening hours. A few strong to severe storms are
possible with hail around/just above 1 inch and severe wind
gusts.

Some storms may be capable of heavy rainfall and if they stay over
an area for an extended period, could lead to localized flood
impacts for prone areas.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday

Isolated afternoon and evening thunderstorms are expected on
Tuesday, then it will be hot Wednesday and Thursday with few or no
thunderstorms. Increased storms are expected again starting on
Friday and there is a chance that some of these storms are strong
to severe.

There will likely be heat impacts on Wednesday and Thursday due to
the early season heat.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
