THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR EAST CENTRAL FLORIDA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

.THUNDERSTORM IMPACT...
Isolated to scattered showers and lightning storms are expected
from mid to late afternoon through early evening, as boundary
collisions occur primarily west of Interstate 95. The highest
chance for storms will exist from Orlando and Melbourne southward.
Gusty winds and locally heavy rainfall are possible in the
strongest storms. Activity will dissipate after sunset with
lingering rain ending before midnight.

.EXCESSIVE HEAT IMPACT...
Above normal temperatures continue with afternoon highs in the mid
to upper 90s. Heat index values are expected to reach 100 to 107
degrees. If outdoors, remain well hydrated and take breaks in
shaded or air-conditioned spaces to avoid heat illness. Never
leave children or pets behind in vehicles.

.RIP CURRENT IMPACT...
A moderate risk for dangerous rip currents exists at area beaches
today. Remember to swim near a lifeguard and never swim alone.

.FIRE WEATHER IMPACT...
Hot temperatures, recent drought conditions, and the gusty
afternoon sea breeze will combine to produce sensitive to near
critical fire weather conditions today. New or ongoing brush fires
may spread quickly in the wake of the sea breeze or outflow
boundaries from nearby storms. Any lightning strikes may lead to
additional fire starts.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY.
Decreased rain and storm chances this weekend will gradually increase
into next week, as greater moisture returns to the area. Storms
may produce gusty winds, occasional to frequent lightning strikes,
and locally heavy rainfall.

Hot temperatures continue, especially on Sunday and Monday, when
heat indices could approach 102 to 108 degrees or higher. This
level of heat can affect anyone without adequate cooling and
hydration.

Sensitive to near critical fire weather conditions will last
through at least the early part of next week, before moisture and
rain chances increase into the middle part of the work week.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotter activation will not be needed today and tonight.
