This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Atlantic coastal waters, southeast Florida, southern Florida, southwest Florida and Gulf of Mexico. .DAY ONE...Tonight. Excessive Rainfall: With multiple rounds of heavy rainfall possible, the potential for flash flooding will exist especially across the urban and poor drainage areas. The rainfall will be particularly problematic for urban and recently soaked regions. Thunderstorms: Numerous thunderstorms are expected over South Florida today. Some of the thunderstorms could contain gusty winds and heavy downpours. Rip Currents: There will be a moderate risk of rip currents for the Collier beaches. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday. Enhanced tropical moisture will be in place over South Florida through at least Friday, resulting in periods of heavy rain and a flooding threat. * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.
* WHERE...Portions of southeast, southern, and southwest Florida,
including the following areas, in southeast Florida, Coastal
Broward County, Coastal Miami Dade County, Coastal Palm Beach
County, Far South Miami-Dade County, Inland Broward County, Inland
Miami-Dade County, Inland Palm Beach County, Metro Broward County,
Metro Palm Beach County and Metropolitan Miami Dade. In southern
Florida, Glades and Hendry. In southwest Florida, Coastal Collier
County, Inland Collier County and Mainland Monroe.
* WHEN...Through Friday evening.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are
possible.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Rainfall amounts of 6 to 12 inches with isolated amounts up
to 18 inches have fallen over South Florida since Tuesday
morning. Additional rainfall amounts of 4 to 8 inches are
still forecast to fall over South Florida through Friday
evening with locally higher amounts over 10 inches possible.
These additional rainfall amounts will be capable of
producing additional flooding on top of current flooding
ongoing across portions of South Florida.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 AM EDT THURSDAY...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...A portion of southeast Florida, including the following
counties, Broward and Miami-Dade.
* WHEN...Until 800 AM EDT Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Several structures are flooded. Numerous roads remain
closed due to flooding. Expect many areas of slow moving or
standing water. It will take several hours for all the water from
these storms to work through local drainage systems in urban
areas. Local media and emergency management have reported water
rescues.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 824 PM EDT, emergency management reported flooding in the
warned area due to heavy rainfall from thunderstorms. Between
5 and 13 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are possible in
the warned area.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Miami, Hialeah, Fort Lauderdale, Pembroke Pines, Hollywood,
Miramar, Pompano Beach, Davie, Miami Beach, Plantation,
Sunrise, Tamarac, Margate, Coral Gables, Key Biscayne, South

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
