.DAY ONE...Tonight...

A few storms tonight may become strong to severe with gusty to
damaging winds, frequent lightning, and heavy rainfall. The
greatest potential for strong to severe thunderstorms will be
after midnight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday...

Isolated thunderstorms are possible primarily across central and
southern Georgia late in the week. The threat for widespread
severe weather will remain low.

Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight.

...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of southwestern
Forsyth, northwestern Gwinnett and northeastern Fulton Counties
through 1045 PM EDT...

At 1007 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was over Alpharetta, or 9 miles
north of Peachtree Corners, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Up to 40 mph wind, pea sized hail and frequent cloud to
         ground lightning.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect minor damage to tree limbs and blowing around of
         light, unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Peachtree Corners, Roswell, Johns Creek, Alpharetta, Milton, Duluth,
Sugar Hill, Suwanee, Buford, Berkeley Lake, and Brookwood.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

People outdoors should seek shelter immediately. If you can hear
thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
