This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northwest Illinois...west central Illinois...east
central Iowa...northeast Iowa...southeast Iowa and northeast
Missouri.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT

Late tonight, a line of scattered thunderstorms will push into
the northwest half of the outlook area mainly after midnight and
into early Wednesday morning. While severe storms are not
expected, gusty winds and heavy rainfall are possible with any
stronger storm.


.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY

Wednesday, the Storm Prediction Center has a Marginal Risk (Level
1 of 5) of severe weather for much of eastern Iowa and northwest
Illinois. Isolated strong gusty winds and lightning are the main
threats. Locally heavy rainfall and ponding water also are
possible.

Periodic rounds of showers and thunderstorms are possible through
the weekend. It is too early to determine the severe potential or
rain amounts. In between the storms, hot and humid conditions will
occur.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not anticipated tonight. There is a chance
that spotter activation may be needed Wednesday afternoon and
evening.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY: East to northeast at 30 MPH.
