Isolated to widely scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible across the region today, behind a weak surface front and near a weak upper level disturbance that will slowly shift south through the area. An isolated strong storm or two can not be ruled out, with locally gusty winds and brief heavy rainfall possible. These showers and thunderstorms will diminish this evening with the loss of heating, and as drier air mixes southwest into the region. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday. Louisiana...Texas...
Sabine River At Logansport affecting Shelby, De Soto and Panola
Counties.
For the Sabine River...including Logansport...Minor flooding is
forecast.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Do not drive cars through flooded areas.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Sabine River at Logansport.
* WHEN...Until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 31.0 feet, Expect considerable minor flooding on both
sides of the river from Jouquin, Texas to below Logansport,
Louisiana. All boat ramps and public parks experience high water
on both sides of the river.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:45 AM CDT Monday the stage was 30.8 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 27.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 8:45 AM CDT Monday was 31.7 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall to 30.3 feet
Saturday morning.
- Flood stage is 28.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
30.9 feet on 05/04/2016.
