...AIR QUALITY ADVISORY FOR TODAY...

The Michigan Department of Environmental Quality continues an Air
Quality Advisory for the rest of today, for elevated levels of ozone.
Pollutants are expected to be in the Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups
range.

The alert is in effect for the following Michigan Counties,

Manistee, Leelanau, Grand Traverse, and Benzie.

It is recommended that, when possible, you avoid strenuous outdoor
activities, especially those with respiratory diseases such as
asthma.

People and businesses are urged to avoid activities which lead to
ozone formation. These activities include, refueling vehicles or
topping off when refueling, using gasoline powered lawn equipment,
and using charcoal lighter fluid.

Positive activities include, driving less, telecommuting, walking or
biking, delaying or combining errands and using water-based paints.

This hazardous weather outlook is for Eastern Upper Michigan and
Northern Lower Michigan.

.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight.

A few thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and tonight. No
Severe weather is expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

The combination of very warm temperatures and high humidity will
likely result in heat related impacts Tuesday and Wednesday.

Additional low chances for thunderstorms will continue at times
through the weekend.
