This hazardous weather outlook is for southeast Michigan.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Isolated thunderstorms are possible after midnight. Severe weather is
not expected. The strongest storms will be capable of producing hail
to one half inch and wind gusts to 40 MPH as they move to the
northeast at 40 MPH.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday

An excessive heat watch is in effect for Monday afternoon through
Friday evening. Please refer to the latest urgent weather message for
details.

Opportunities exist for periods of thunderstorms next week while
confidence on coverage and timing remain very low.

...EXCESSIVE HEAT WATCH IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH
FRIDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions for several days are expected.
  Peak afternoon heat indices of 95 to 100 degrees are possible each
  day from Monday through Friday.

* WHERE...Southeast Michigan

* WHEN...From Monday afternoon through Friday evening.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
  extreme heat and high humidity events.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The effects of heat on the human body get
  worse as the number of consecutive days of heat increase.
  Nighttime lows will only drop into the 70s this week, which will
  offer little relief from the heat.
