This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of southwest Lower
Michigan.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Heat indices will increase up to around 100 degrees this afternoon.
This will create the potential for heat related illnesses.

Isolated thunderstorms will be possible this afternoon and evening
for areas away from Lake Michigan. Severe weather is not expected.
Locally heavy downpours with slow moving storms will be the main
threat, along with lightning.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday

Prolonged impacts of heat and humidity this week will increase
potential for heat related illnesses.

Isolated thunderstorms will be possible mainly during the afternoon
and evening hours for areas away from Lake Michigan. Severe weather
is not expected. Locally heavy downpours with slow moving storms
will be the main threat, along with lightning.

southeastern Ingham Counties through 1015 PM EDT
...

At 921 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Vandercook Lake, or near Jackson, moving northeast at 55 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.
