...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Minnesota...
Minnesota River at Savage affecting Hennepin, Scott, Carver and
Dakota Counties.
Minnesota River at Morton affecting Renville and Redwood Counties.
Minnesota River at Montevideo affecting Yellow Medicine, Chippewa
and Lac qui Parle Counties.
.Water levels have been steadily falling on the Minnesota, but
currently remain at minor flood stage at Savage, Morton, and
Montevideo. Precipitation will return to the forecast on Saturday
and may be heavy across southern Minnesota. Additional rain and
storm chances early next week may result in an upward trend in river
levels.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE...
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Minnesota River at Montevideo.
* WHEN...Until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Low lying areas and some roads along the
river begin flooding, along with some basements of houses along
the river.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 800 PM CDT Thursday, the stage was 14.7 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 800 PM CDT Thursday was 14.8 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
Tuesday evening and continue falling to 13.4 feet Thursday,
June 20.
- Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
14.7 feet on 04/11/1960.
