This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central
Minnesota...east central Minnesota...southwest Minnesota and west
central Minnesota.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Soaking rain will give way to the potential for an isolated strong to
severe storm this evening/overnight. Damaging wind and large hail
serve as the main threats. Localized threat for flooding
continues.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

Heat and humidity will build Sunday with heat indices in the lower
90s.

Additional rounds of thunderstorms are expected through much of
next week. Severe weather and heavy rainfall are possible with
each of these rounds.

Flooding along area rivers will hold steady or steadily fall over
the into this weekend. Significant rainfall into next week will
result in renewed rises on the rivers.

...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Minnesota...

  Minnesota River at Morton affecting Renville and Redwood Counties.

  Minnesota River at Montevideo affecting Chippewa, Lac qui Parle
  and Yellow Medicine Counties.

.Recent and future rainfall continues to impact river levels on the
Minnesota River at Montevideo and Morton. Rain and thunderstorms
remain likely overnight, with another storm system set to bring
widespread rain and thunderstorms to the region Sunday night and
Monday. River levels will remain steady or rise further as a result.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Minnesota River at Morton.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 23.0 feet, Riverside Rd and Front Street flooded in
  North Redwood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 800 PM CDT Saturday, the stage was 21.1 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 800 PM CDT Saturday was 21.1 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    tomorrow morning and continue falling to 18.8 feet Saturday,
    June 22.
  - Flood stage is 21.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    21.4 feet on 05/31/2004.
