This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central and
southern Minnesota, and west central Wisconsin.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Thunderstorms will return this afternoon and evening. A few
storms may be severe with large hail and damaging winds. Locally
heavy rainfall is possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Additional rounds of thunderstorms are expected mainly Thursday
night through Saturday. A few severe storms, heavy rainfall, and
flash flooding are possible with each of these rounds.

River levels will continue rising through late week with some
locations reaching moderate or major flood stage. Additional rain
later in the week could worsen the flooding.

  Cottonwood River Above Springfield affecting Brown County.

  Minnesota River at Morton affecting Redwood and Renville Counties.

  Minnesota River at New Ulm affecting Nicollet, Brown and Blue
  Earth Counties.

  South Fork Crow River below Mayer affecting Carver County.

  South Fork Crow River at Delano affecting Hennepin and Wright
  Counties.

  Crow River at Rockford affecting Hennepin and Wright Counties.

...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Minnesota...

  Minnesota River near Jordan affecting Sibley, Scott and Carver
  Counties.

  Minnesota River at Savage affecting Dakota, Scott, Carver and
  Hennepin Counties.

  Cannon River at Northfield affecting Rice and Dakota Counties.

...The Flood Warning is cancelled for the following rivers in
Minnesota...

  Redwood River near Redwood Falls affecting Redwood County.

.Recent heavy rainfall combined with the forecast of additional rain
and high soil moisture will produce additional rises on area rivers.
Thunderstorms are expected later today and another round of
significant rainfall is possible at the end of the week. Prolonged
flooding is most likely along the main stem rivers with shorter
duration flooding along the tributaries.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

NOTICE...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Minnesota River at Savage.

* WHEN...From Wednesday evening until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 710.5 feet, Flood waters begin to back up Eagle Creek
  and block the Highway 101 Frontage Road.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1000 AM CDT Tuesday, the stage was 701.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    tomorrow evening and continue rising to 708.7 feet Tuesday,
    June 25. Additional rises are possible thereafter.
  - Flood stage is 702.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    708.4 feet on 06/29/1957.

* IMPACTS...At 897.5 feet, Flood waters reach Carleton College
  soccer fields. Babcock Park north of downtown begins to flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 930 AM CDT Tuesday, the stage was 897.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 897.2
    feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage
    early Friday morning.
  - Flood stage is 897.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    898.1 feet on 10/06/2019.
