This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for southern Illinois, southwest
Indiana, western Kentucky and southeast Missouri.

.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight.

A stray thunderstorm is possible overnight tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Scattered thunderstorms are possible Saturday, especially Saturday
evening and overnight. A few of these storms may become severe
with damaging winds or large hail. Torrential rainfall is also
possible, which may lead to flash flooding Saturday night.

A few thunderstorms are possible on Sunday. Brief heavy rainfall
and lightning would be the main concern.

Formal spotter activation may not be required but spotters are
encouraged to report significant weather according to standard
operating procedure.

...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM THIS EVENING THROUGH SUNDAY
AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast Missouri, including the following
  areas, Bollinger, Butler, Cape Girardeau, Carter, Mississippi, New
  Madrid, Ripley, Scott, Stoddard and Wayne MO.

* WHEN...From this evening through Sunday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Low-water crossings may be flooded. Campers near streams and
  rivers in the Ozark Foothills should exercise extreme caution. Be
  vigilant for rapid rises in water levels and prepare to move to
  higher ground quickly if flooding occurs.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Multiple rounds of heavy rain are expected over the Flood
    Watch area this evening through Sunday morning. This will
    result in potentially several inches of rainfall and a risk
    of flash flooding.
