Isolated storms could produce strong to locally damaging winds and
small hail this afternoon.

Hot and humid conditions will continue Thursday with heat headlines
possible. A few strong storms are also possible Wednesday and

* WHAT...For the first Heat Advisory, heat index values up to 95.
  For the second Heat Advisory, heat index values up to 96 expected.

* WHERE...Sullivan, Southern Grafton, and Cheshire Counties.

* WHEN...For the first Heat Advisory, until 8 PM EDT this evening.
  For the second Heat Advisory, from noon to 8 PM EDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
  illnesses.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Warm overnight low temperatures in the 70s
  will add to cumulative heat stress.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.
