THURSDAY...

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central New York and
northeast Pennsylvania.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Isolated strong to severe thunderstorms are possible...mainly later
this afternoon and early this evening. There is the potential for
localized damaging wind gusts, frequent lightning and hail with
the stronger storms.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

* WHAT...Heat index values up to 100 expected.

* WHERE...A portion of central New York.

* WHEN...From noon Tuesday to 8 PM EDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
  illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.
