There is a slight risk for severe thunderstorms across far western Oklahoma through this evening. This risk area extends from just south of Woodward, down through Elk City and Clinton, to Hobart and Hollis. Isolated thunderstorms will be possible a little farther east toward central Oklahoma, but they should be short lived and not severe. The severe weather concern this evening will be damaging winds. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday... .Thunderstorms... Thunderstorms will remain possible Friday into early next week. The best chance for widespread showers and thunderstorms will occur late Saturday evening through Sunday morning, mainly across the northern half of Oklahoma. Strong to severe storms are possible. At 747 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8 miles west of Elk City, moving east at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Elk City, Canute, and Berlin.
