DISCUSSION...
Heat index values between 95-102F are ongoing across much of
eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. These values may cause
heat-related illness through the early evening hours. While most
areas will remain dry,an isolated shower or thunderstorm is
possible across parts of northwest Arkansas early evening. Severe
thunderstorms are not anticipated.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Hot and humid conditions will continue through the remainder of
the forecast period with maximum afternoon heat indices between
95-102F. A few isolated showers or thunderstorms may develop
Monday through Thursday, with the best chance in the higher
terrain of Arkansas and southeast Oklahoma. Most other areas will
see little to no rainfall. Gusty southerly winds will develop
Monday to Tuesday, with gusts of 25-35 mph.
