Unsecured items could blow around. .Marine Conditions...Small craft should exercise caution across the Mona Passage. .Rip Currents...Life-threatening rip currents are possible in the surf zone particularly along southwest PR. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday The heat spell may extend throughout the rest of the forecast period. An Excessive Heat Watch is in effect through at least Saturday. A moderate risk of rip current will persist through the forecast period. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... In Virgin Islands, St Croix County. * WHEN...For the Excessive Heat Warning, from 9 AM this morning to 6 PM AST this evening. For the Excessive Heat Watch, from Saturday morning through Saturday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.
