This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Arkansas,
southwest Arkansas, north central Louisiana, northwest Louisiana,
southeast Oklahoma, east Texas and northeast Texas.

.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight.

Isolated to widely scattered showers and thunderstorms will be
possible across the region today, behind a weak surface front and
near a weak upper level disturbance that will slowly shift south
through the area. An isolated strong storm or two can not be ruled
out, with locally gusty winds and brief heavy rainfall possible.
These showers and thunderstorms will diminish this evening with the
loss of heating, and as drier air mixes southwest into the region.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

No hazardous weather is expected.

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Texas...

  Angelina River Near Lufkin affecting Cherokee, Nacogdoches and
  Angelina Counties.

For the Angelina River...including Lufkin...Minor flooding is
forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive cars through flooded areas.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

  a couple of weeks with the gravel access roadway nearly inundated
  along its entire length.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:30 AM CDT Monday the stage was 167.2 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 158.5 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 9:30 AM CDT Monday was 167.3 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall to 164.5 feet
    Saturday morning.
