...EXCESSIVE HEAT WATCH IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY MORNING THROUGH
WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...For the Heat Advisory, this level of heat affects most
  individuals sensitive to heat, especially those without effective
  cooling and/or adequate hydration. Impacts possible in some health
  systems and in heat-sensitive industries. For the Excessive Heat
  Watch, dangerously hot conditions are possible.

* WHERE...In Puerto Rico, Culebra and Vieques. In the US Virgin
  Islands, St   Croix and St. Thomas, St. John, and Adjacent Islands.

* WHEN...For the Heat Advisory, from 9 AM this morning to 6 PM AST
  this afternoon. For the Excessive Heat Watch, from Wednesday
  morning through Wednesday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
  extreme heat and high humidity events.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car
interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.

Monitor the latest forecasts and warnings for updates.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of USVI.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

.Excessive Heat...This level of heat affects most individuals
sensitive to heat, especially those without effective cooling
and/or adequate hydration. Impacts possible in some health
systems and in heat-sensitive industries.

.Rip Currents...Life-threatening rip currents are possible in the
surf zone, particularly in beaches of St Croix.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday

The warm spell may extend through at least midweek. An Excessive
Heat Watch is in effect through at least Wednesday. A moderate risk
of rip current will persist throughout the rest of the workweek for
Saint Croix.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed.
