Hazardous Weather Outlook National Weather Service Duluth MN 334 PM CDT Tue Jun 11 2024 MNZ010>012-018>021-025-026-033>038-WIZ001>004-006>009-122045- Koochiching-North St. Louis-Northern Cook/Northern Lake- North Itasca-Central St. Louis-Southern Lake/North Shore- Southern Cook/North Shore-North Cass-South Itasca-South Cass- Crow Wing-Northern Aitkin-South Aitkin-Carlton/South St. Louis- Pine-Douglas-Bayfield-Ashland-Iron-Burnett-Washburn-Sawyer-Price- 334 PM CDT Tue Jun 11 2024 This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin. .DAY ONE...This afternoon and Tonight There is an isolated threat for thunderstorms (20%-30% chance) for this afternoon and evening for the Arrowhead of Minnesota and along and east of the St. Croix River Valley and into western Wisconsin. Severe weather is not anticipated .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday Severe thunderstorms are possible (Risk level 2 of 5) Wednesday from 3pm-11pm across the region. Initially these storms will be capable of very large hail potentially in excess of 2 inches in diameter. A tornado or two are also possible, especially across northeast Minnesota. After 9pm the risk for damaging winds in excess of 60mph will increase. An active weather pattern is expected to resume starting Saturday and continuing into early next week. There are some signals on Sunday for the possibility of stronger to severe storms .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Skywarn spotters may be needed wednesday afternoon and evening across northeast Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin. $$
