This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of panhandle
Nebraska...east central Wyoming...south central Wyoming and
southeast Wyoming.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

Thunderstorms will be on the increase this afternoon...initially
across Carbon and Albany Counties west of the Laramie Range. These
storms will move into eastern areas late this afternoon into the
evening hours. Initially high based...these storms will be capable
of strong to severe downburst winds to 50 to 60 mph.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY

Daily chances for afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms
continue this weekend through Monday.

...The National Weather Service in Cheyenne WY has issued a Flood
Watch for the following rivers in Wyoming...

  North Platte River at Saratoga affecting Carbon County.

.Warm temperatures may melt high mountain snowpack and increase
river flows. It is expected to remain above bankfull conditions for
at least the next 5 days. No flooding is forecast at this time but
it remains a possibility.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you are in the watch area, remain alert to possible flooding.

Residents and those with interests near the river should monitor
rising water levels and be prepared for possible flood warnings.

Cold and energetic waters can be dangerous. Use caution when working
or recreating near rivers and creeks.

* WHERE...North Platte River at Saratoga.

* IMPACTS...At 8.5 feet, Flood stage. Water approaches low lying
  areas of homes along the river in town. Water enters low lying
  areas of Veterans Island Park.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1:45 PM MDT Friday the stage was 7.8 feet.
  - Forecast...Flood stage may be reached based on the latest
    forecast information.

Warning for the following rivers in Wyoming...

  Encampment River at Encampment affecting Carbon County.

.Warm temperatures at high elevations are rapidly melting an
abundant snowpack. The runoff is creating high water in local creeks
and rivers.

For the Encampment River...including Encampment...Minor flooding is
forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks. Cold water is
dangerous.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Encampment River at Encampment.

* WHEN...From late tonight to early Sunday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 6.5 feet, Flood stage. Low lying flooding occurs
  upstream in Riverside. Flooding occurs over the lower campsites
  along the river at Lazy Acres Campground in Riverside. Minor
  flooding occurs over the Odd Fellows Campground and Baggot Rocks
  Road. Water begins to encroach the gage house.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:30 AM MDT Friday the stage was 5.9 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 5.5 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will oscillate around flood stage with a
    maximum value of 6.6 feet tomorrow morning.
  - Flood stage is 6.5 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    6.6 feet on 06/06/1974.
