Be aware of thunderstorms in your area and be prepared to take shelter. .Excessive Rainfall...Ponding of water in roads and poorly drained areas across the islands. Urban and small streams flooding is possible. .Excessive Heat...This level of heat affects primarily those individuals extremely sensitive to heat, especially when outdoors without effective cooling and/or adequate hydration. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday The flood, lightning & limited heat threat will be present at least until Friday, as a abundant moisture reach the islands inducing an increase in showers. The Excessive Heat threat will be present limited to elevated for most of the period. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation is encouraged. The areas affected include... Atlantic Waters of Puerto Rico and USVI from 10 NM to 19.5N- Anegada Passage east of Virgin Gorda and Saint Croix south to 17N- Coastal waters east of Puerto Rico, around Vieques, and around and just north of Culebra and Saint John- Caribbean waters of Puerto Rico from 10 NM to 17N, including the coastal waters of Saint Croix- Coastal Waters of Southern Puerto Rico out 10 NM- Mona Passage Southward to 17N- At 518 AM AST, Doppler radar indicated several strong thunderstorm, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. This thunderstorms were located over different areas of the local waters. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this storm passes. $$
