HEAVY WINTER PRECIPITATION THAT FELL ACROSS THE ENTIRE MIDSOUTH WILL
CONTINUE TO RESULT IN HAZARDOUS TRAVEL. ICE AND SNOW PACKED
ROADWAYS WILL CONTINUE TODAY AND LIKELY THROUGH THE REST OF THE
WEEK IN THE HARDEST HIT AREAS. TRAVEL SHOULD SLOWLY IMPROVE OVER
THE WEEKEND AS WARMER TEMPERATURES MOVE INTO THE REGION.

.AN EARLY MARCH WINTER STORM CONTINUES TO PUSH EAST ACROSS THE
MIDSOUTH THIS MORNING. LIGHT AMOUNTS OF SNOW AND SLEET
ACCUMULATIONS WILL CONTINUE ACROSS PORTIONS OF NORTHEAST
MISSISSIPPI THROUGH NOON CST.

IN ADDITION...CLEARING SKIES LATE TODAY WILL ALLOW FOR WINDCHILL

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A followup Flood Statement will be issued tomorrow or sooner if
conditions warrant.

www.weather.gov and click near Memphis on the map. Then select Rivers
and Lakes AHPS under current conditions.

Do not drive through flooded areas...turn around don`t drown.

The Flood Warning continues for
  the Saint Francis River near Saint Francis
* until Friday March 06.
* At 10 PM Wednesday the stage was 22.6 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring AND Minor flooding is forecast.
* Maximum forecast stage of 23.0 feet Thursday March 05.
* Flood stage is 22.0 feet.
* The river rose above flood stage Wednesday March 04 and will
  continue rising to near 23.0 feet by Thursday March 05. The river
  will fall below flood stage Friday March 06.
* At 23.0 feet...Most low land inside the levee system is flooded.
