...LINE OF STRONG STORMS TO IMPACT WESTERN LASSEN COUNTY BETWEEN 530
AND 645 PM PDT...

AT 512 PM PDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE METEOROLOGISTS WERE TRACKING
STRONG THUNDERSTORMS ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM NEAR REDDING TO NEAR
BURNEY...AND MOVING EAST AT 35 MPH. THESE STORMS PRODUCED A 60 MPH
WIND GUST AT REDDING AT 505 PM PDT.

FREQUENT DEADLY LIGHTNING...HEAVY RAIN WITH AMOUNTS NEAR ONE INCH PER
HOUR...SMALL PEA SIZE HAIL...AND STRONG GUSTY WINDS TO 55 MPH...WILL
OCCUR WITH THESE STORMS. THESE KIND OF WINDS CAN RESULT IN POWER
OUTAGES AND FALLING TREE LIMBS.

* LOCATIONS AFFECTED THROUGH 645 PM PDT INCLUDE...BIEBER...
  NUBIEBER...PITTVILLE...AREAS AROUND AND IMMEDIATELY EAST OF
  LASSEN NATIONAL PARK.

THESE STORMS WILL AFFECT TRAVELERS ON HIGHWAYS 36 AND 44 WEST OF
SUSANVILLE. DRIVERS SHOULD EXPECT STRONG GUSTY CROSS WINDS...WITH
RAPID VISIBILITY REDUCTIONS. HEAVY RAINFALL WILL RESULT IN PONDING
OF WATER. SLOW DOWN WHEN ENCOUNTERING HEAVY RAIN AND TURN ON YOUR
HEADLIGHTS.

* WINDS: SOUTH TO SOUTHWEST 20 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 55 MPH.
  LOCALLY STRONGER GUSTS UP TO 65 MPH IN WIND PRONE AREAS.

* IMPACTS: HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS FOR HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES.
  TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS POSSIBLE FOR HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES ON
  HIGHWAY 395 AND INTERSTATE 80 BETWEEN SUSANVILLE AND CARSON
  CITY.
