A SLOW MOVING WEATHER SYSTEM WILL PRODUCE AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF
LIGHT SNOW ACROSS NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.
FLURRIES WILL PREVAIL TODAY WITH OCCASIONAL SNOW SHOWERS WHERE
QUICK VISIBILITY REDUCTIONS AND LIGHT ACCUMULATIONS OF UNDER AN
INCH COULD OCCUR. BY TONIGHT...LIGHT ACCUMULATING SNOW IS LIKELY
TO BE MORE WIDESPREAD AND LINGER THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING BEFORE
SLOWLY TAPERING. IN ADDITION...NORTHWEST WINDS INCREASE TONIGHT
WITH GUSTS OF 20 TO 25 MPH EXPECTED INTO TUESDAY RESULTING IN
BLOWING SNOW THAT COULD FURTHER REDUCE VISIBILITY.

THE SNOW TONIGHT INTO TUESDAY COULD ACCUMULATE ON ROADWAYS AND
IMPACT PART OF THIS EVENINGS COMMUTE AND LIKELY WILL TUESDAY
MORNINGS. ENSURE ENOUGH TIME IS LEFT TO REACH YOUR DESTINATION.

THIS COULD LEAD TO BRIEF HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY.

LIGHT SNOW IS EXPECTED AREAWIDE TUESDAY MORNING AND GRADUALLY
TAPERING TUESDAY AFTERNOON. LIGHT ACCUMULATIONS MAY LEAD TO
BRIEF HAZARDOUS TRAVEL.

HEAVIER LAKE EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS ARE LIKELY ACROSS PORTIONS OF
NORTHWEST INDIANA TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY...MAINLY OVER NORTHEAST
PORTER COUNTY EAST OF PORTAGE.

ICE JAMS MAY FORM ON AREA RIVERS AS COLDER WEATHER MOVES IN THIS
WEEK...AND COULD PRODUCE LOCALIZED FLOODING.
