...The Flood Advisory continues for the Mississippi River...
  Mississippi River at Memphis affecting Crittenden...DeSoto and
  Shelby Counties

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

The next River Statement will be issued later today or sooner if conditions
warrant.

For graphical river and flood information...please go to
www.weather.gov and click near Memphis on the map. Then select Rivers
and Lakes AHPS under current conditions.

Do not drive through flooded areas...turn around don`t drown.

Stay tuned to your weather radio and your local news media for the
latest river information.

The Flood Advisory continues for
  the Mississippi River at Memphis
* until Tuesday July 07.
* At 12 PM Wednesday the stage was 28.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 34.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will rise to near 31.5 feet Friday July 10.
* At 32.0 feet...In Arkansas, the road to the dwelling on south end
  of Island 40 Chute is flooding. The levee near Danner Lake has
  water on it. Water is up to most of the levee west of Island 40
  Chute and on south to I-55. Most all land between Memphis and West
  Memphis is covered by water.

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF EAST ARKANSAS...
THE MISSOURI BOOTHEEL...NORTH MISSISSIPPI...AND WEST TENNESSEE.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

THERE IS A SLIGHT RISK FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS THE MID
SOUTH TODAY...ESPECIALLY ALONG AND EAST OF A LINE FROM FORREST
CITY ARKANSAS TO ABERDEEN MISSISSIPPI. DAMAGING WINDS WILL BE THE
PRIMARY THREAT ALONG WITH A SECONDARY THREAT FOR LARGE HAIL.
LOCALIZED FLASH FLOODING FROM HEAVY RAINFALL IS ALSO POSSIBLE.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY

THERE IS A SLIGHT RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS THE ENTIRE
MID SOUTH ON THURSDAY. DAMAGING WINDS WILL BE THE PRIMARY THREAT
ALONG WITH A SECONDARY THREAT FOR LARGE HAIL. HEAVY RAINFALL IS
ALSO POSSIBLE.

ADDITIONAL UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCES WILL MOVE ACROSS THE MID
SOUTH FRIDAY INTO THE UPCOMING HOLIDAY WEEKEND. A POTENTIAL MAY
EXIST FOR STRONG TO SEVERE STORMS AS WELL AS HEAVY RAINFALL AT
TIMES.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SPOTTER ACTIVATION MAY BE NEEDED TODAY AND THURSDAY...AND AGAIN AT
TIMES FRIDAY INTO THE UPCOMING HOLIDAY WEEKEND IN SUPPORT OF
SEVERE WEATHER OPERATIONS.
