THE FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR

* PORTIONS OF WESTERN WASHINGTON...INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING
  COUNTIES...SKAGIT...WHATCOM...KING...LEWIS...PIERCE...
  AND SNOHOMISH.

* THROUGH FRIDAY AFTERNOON

* IN THE SHORT TERM...FLOODING CONTINUES ON PARTS OF THE
  SNOQUALMIE...SNOHOMISH...AND THE PUYALLUP RIVER NEAR ORTING.

* THE NEXT CONCERN IS A VIGOROUS FRONTAL SYSTEM THAT WILL BRING
  ANOTHER 3 TO 5 INCHES OF RAIN TO THE OLYMPICS AND CASCADES
  TONIGHT THROUGH THURSDAY NIGHT. LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS OVER 7
  INCHES ARE POSSIBLE IN THE NORTH CASCADES THROUGH FRIDAY
  AFTERNOON. THE SNOW LEVEL WILL BE 5500 TO 7000 FEET...FALLING
  FRIDAY EVENING.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MONITOR THE WEATHER AND BE READY TO ACT QUICKLY IF FLOODING IS
OBSERVED OR MORE WARNINGS ARE ISSUED.

  STILLAGUAMISH RIVER AT ARLINGTON AFFECTING SNOHOMISH COUNTY.
  COWLITZ RIVER AT RANDLE AFFECTING LEWIS COUNTY.

...THE FLOOD WARNING CONTINUES FOR THE FOLLOWING RIVERS IN
WASHINGTON...

  SNOQUALMIE RIVER NEAR THE FALLS AFFECTING KING COUNTY.
  SNOQUALMIE RIVER NEAR CARNATION AFFECTING KING COUNTY.
  PUYALLUP RIVER NEAR ORTING AFFECTING PIERCE COUNTY.
  SNOHOMISH RIVER AT SNOHOMISH AFFECTING SNOHOMISH COUNTY.

THE HEAVY RAIN OVER THE CASCADES HAS EASED FOR THE TIME BEING. MINOR
FLOODING WILL CONTINUE ON THE SNOHOMISH RIVER THROUGH THIS EVENING.
THE SNOQUALMIE RIVER AT THE FALLS CRESTED THIS MORNING...WITH THE
CREST MOVING DOWNSTREAM THROUGH CARNATION THIS AFTERNOON. FLOODING
ON THE SNOQUALMIE WILL CONTINUE THROUGH TONIGHT. THE STILLAGUAMISH
RIVER FELL BELOW FLOOD STAGE THIS MORNING AND WILL CONTINUE TO FALL
THROUGH TONIGHT. THE COWLITZ RIVER AT RANDLE ALSO FELL BELOW FLOOD
STAGE JUST BEFORE NOON TODAY AND WILL CONTINUE TO FALL THROUGH
TONIGHT.

NOTE THAT A FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT WITH ADDITIONAL RAINFALL
EXPECTED TONIGHT THROUGH THURSDAY NIGHT. FLOODING IS STILL POSSIBLE
THROUGH FRIDAY ON VARIOUS RIVERS IN THE OLYMPICS AND CASCADES.

* AT 11:30 AM WEDNESDAY THE FLOW WAS 20920 CFS.
* FLOOD FLOW IS 20000 CFS.
* MINOR FLOODING IS OCCURRING AND MINOR FLOODING IS FORECAST.
* FORECAST...THE RIVER HAS CRESTED AND WILL CONTINUE TO FALL THIS
EVENING.
* IMPACT...AT 20000 CFS...THE SNOQUALMIE RIVER WILL CAUSE WIDESPREAD
  FLOODING OF PASTURE LANDS AND ROADS ALONG THE RIVER FROM THE TOWN
  OF SNOQUALMIE DOWNSTREAM THROUGH FALL CITY. ROADS THAT MAY BECOME
  FLOODED INCLUDE FALL CITY-CARNATION...TOLT HILL...AND NOVELTY FLATS
  ROADS. THIS RIVER LEVEL ON THE SNOQUALMIE CORRESPONDS ROUGHLY TO A
  PHASE 3 FLOOD IN THE KING COUNTY FLOOD SYSTEM.

  THE SNOQUALMIE RIVER NEAR CARNATION
* THROUGH MIDNIGHT TONIGHT.
* AT 11:30 AM WEDNESDAY THE STAGE WAS 54.7 FEET.
* FLOOD STAGE IS 54.0 FEET.
* MINOR FLOODING IS OCCURRING AND MINOR FLOODING IS FORECAST.
* FORECAST...THE RIVER WILL CREST NEAR 55.0 FEET LATE THIS
  AFTERNOON...THEN SUBSIDE BELOW FLOOD STAGE BY MIDNIGHT TONIGHT.
* IMPACT...AT 54.0 FEET...THE SNOQUALMIE RIVER WILL FLOOD MUCH OF THE
  FARM LAND AND SEVERAL ROADS FROM FALL CITY DOWNSTREAM THROUGH
  CARNATION AND DUVALL.
