



Rain and Mountain Snow in the West; Lake Effect Snow in the Northeast
A strong system will spread lower elevation rain and mountain snow across the Southwest U.S., Great Basin, and Central Rockies into this weekend. Moisture from this western system will combine with a cold Canadian front to produce snow for portions of the Midwest this weekend.
