Weather systems embedded in a a deep trough will produce continued heavy mountain snow in the West this weekend. Snow levels will be 1500 feet in places, with up to 4 feet of snow and winds gusting to 80 mph in higher elevations of California. Heavy snow is also occurring in the North Plains.
