Heavy lake effect snow continues downwind of the Great Lakes resulting in difficult travel conditions. Meanwhile, colder air is sliding southward toward the Southeast portions of the country where freeze warnings are in effect. Air stagnation concerns linger for the interior Pacific Northwest.
