A storm system will shift from eastern Texas into the lower Mississippi Valley Monday with additional threats of severe thunderstorms and heavy to excessive rainfall which may bring flooding. Seas 2 to 3 feet, building to 5 to 7 feet, occasionally to 9 feet. Wave detail: east 3 feet at 5 seconds, becoming southeast 6 feet at 6 seconds and northeast 1 foot at 5 seconds. A chance of showers with a slight chance of thunderstorms early this afternoon.

Monday: South winds 20 to 25 knots, diminishing to 15 to 20 knots in the afternoon. Seas 5 to 7 feet, occasionally to 9 feet. Wave detail: southeast 6 feet at 6 seconds.
