Rain Coming to Drought-Stricken Southern U.S.

A storm tracking across the Southern U.S. will bring heavy to excessive rainfall over portions of west-central Texas into tonight then from central Texas through the central Gulf Coast on Friday. Friday: East winds 5 to 10 knots, becoming southeast 10 to 15 knots with gusts up to 20 knots in the afternoon. Seas around 2 feet. Wave detail: southeast 2 feet at 4 seconds. Showers likely. A chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon.

Friday Night: Southeast winds 10 to 15 knots with gusts up to 20 knots, increasing to 15 to 20 knots with gusts up to 30 knots after midnight.
