Severe Thunderstorms and Heavy Rainfall Across the South; Heat Spreads Across the West and Southern Plains

A couple of frontal boundaries will move east and south from the Plains to the Gulf and Atlantic coastlines. These boundaries will focus showers and thunderstorms through the weekend, with scattered severe thunderstorms from the Southern Plains and across the Gulf Coast states. Monday Night: North winds 5 to 15 knots veering southeast in the late evening and overnight. Mostly clear. Waves around 1 foot.

Tuesday: Southeast winds 10 to 20 knots becoming south gales to 35 knots. Rain showers. Waves 1 to 3 feet building to 6 to 8 feet.

Tuesday Night: Southwest winds to 30 knots veering west 15 to 25 knots in the late evening and overnight. Partly cloudy with rain showers. Waves 6 to 8 feet subsiding to 4 to 6 feet in the late evening and overnight.

Wednesday: Northwest winds 15 to 25 knots. Partly sunny. Waves 3 to 5 feet.

Thursday: Northwest winds 10 to 15 knots backing west early in the afternoon. Sunny. Waves 1 to 3 feet.

Friday: South winds to 30 knots. Partly sunny with a chance of rain showers. Waves 4 to 6 feet building to 5 to 7 feet early in the afternoon.
