Severe thunderstorms are expected from the southern Plains to the Midwest through Friday night. Severe storm hazards may include large hail, severe winds, and tornadoes, some of which may be strong. There will be another chance for severe thunderstorms on Saturday for portions of Texas, the Lower Mississippi Valley, and the Ohio Valley. Saturday: Northwest wind 10 to 15 knots backing west late. Gusts up to 22 knots. Cloudy through early afternoon then becoming partly cloudy. Areas of dense fog through mid morning. Rain showers possibly mixed with snow showers and sleet through mid morning, then a chance of snow showers by late morning. Waves calm to 1 foot.

Saturday Night: Southwest wind 10 to 20 knots increasing to up to 30 knots with gale force gusts up to 37 knots after midnight. Mostly clear in the evening then becoming mostly cloudy. Waves calm to 1 foot.

Sunday: Southwest wind up to 30 knots with gale force gusts up to 37 knots. Mostly sunny. Waves calm to 1 foot.
